Essential Guide to Product Registration in the UAE for 2024: What You Should Know

The Business License in Dubai requires businesses operating in Dubai’s mainland or any of its free zones to register their products.

For the Municipality to process product registration requests, businesses must first hold a valid license.

You must have a valid business license for Dubai or a UAE Free Zone before you can start registering your products with the Dubai Municipality.

Depending on your chosen business activity and trade license, this could take 2 to 4 weeks.

Register with The Dubai Municipality

Once a company has confirmed that it holds a valid license, it must register with the municipality.

To initiate the process and pay the registration fees, businesses must submit a Products Registration Service Application.

The company representative must complete the form for each product.

Additionally, the representative must submit a copy of a valid label assessment for the product that needs to be registered.

Submit Product Details

The next step in getting your product approved for sale, import, or export is providing the authorities with information about your product.

This includes providing a list of the ingredients and sending a sample of the product to the authorities for additional testing.

If the authorities identify any potential issues with your product, you may be required to modify it and provide additional evidence before your product is authorized for use or consumption.
